Residential Pergola
Sonoma, CA
This expansive residential pergola project is designed to completely transform the outdoor living experience for a Northern California homeowner. The client wanted a shaded, functional space to better enjoy their multi-level patio and existing outdoor amenities, especially during the warmer months.
To meet these needs, we’re building a stunning 40-foot-long pergola with a 13-foot projection that spans across the entire back of the home. From the staircase on the left to the curved steps on the right, this pergola will not only provide broad, elegant coverage but will also integrate seamlessly with the architecture and landscape.
Once completed, this pergola will define the space, creating a protected area for relaxing, dining, and entertaining year-round.
Residential Slide Wire Canopy
Vallejo, CA
This hillside home in Vallejo needed a solution to make their sun-drenched patio more livable year-round. With strong afternoon sun and minimal existing shade, the area often became too hot to enjoy during peak hours. The homeowner wanted an elegant, low-profile shading system that wouldn't block views or overwhelm the architecture. Goodwin-Cole’s custom slide-wire canopy is the perfect fit - designed to anchor directly to the home and supported by a powder-coated steel frame. Once complete, the canopy will feature tensioned fabric panels that glide along wire tracks, offering adjustable shade throughout the day. This flexible system provides a seamless blend of comfort, function, and style - turning the patio into a shaded retreat ideal for relaxing, entertaining, or enjoying the garden view.
Park Terrace Swim Club
Sacramento, CA
This large custom pergola installation was designed for the Park Terrace Swim Club to provide expansive, durable shade next to their pool deck. With multiple swim lanes, lounge areas, and a high level of member activity, the space demanded both function and visual harmony. The new structure offers broad shade coverage and a contemporary look, while helping reduce heat on the pool deck during summer events and swim meets. Built with a powder-coated aluminum frame and sleek integrated detailing, this pergola creates a comfortable, shaded environment for swimmers, spectators, and staff alike—blending form and function into a standout feature of the club’s outdoor amenities.
